Full Name: Eve Pedersen
Alias/Other Names: Immortal
Powers: Functional immortality, minor healing factor (foreign material integration), soul-body-mind anchor.
Hero Class: Charlie-Support
Physical Attributes: Pedersen is an adult Human female of Caucasian descent. She is slender and of average height, with jet black hair and brown eyes. Her style of clothing could be considered “eccentric,” and she tends to wear a variety of looks inspired by different time periods.
Power Analysis: Pedersen possesses the ability to continue living under almost any circumstances, even when her body is incapable of sustaining her vital organs. The only true time frame in which she is dead is when her brain is damaged, during which she reports having visions and nightmares. (See attached interview). It takes her brain and body several days to fully regenerate if totally destroyed.
Pedersen has reportedly been able to attach makeshift prosthetics to her limbs in extreme scenarios. This has only happened once and is detailed in the attached interview logs.
Finally, her soul-body-mind anchor causes her soul and mind to be permanently connected to her body, meaning that they cannot be permanently separated or destroyed while one of the others is intact. This makes her extremely useful against foes who target those aspects of being, such as Blair and Barncowel.
Notable Weaknesses: Pedersen’s primary weakness is her lack of other functional powers. While her immortality is potentially useful for utilitarian purposes, her actual combat ability leaves a lot to be desired. She has all of the weaknesses that a typical Human has.
Origin: Reports of an undying woman date as far back as around the 14th Century, B.C. where stories were told by children about “the lady who hanged for days.”* The reports would die down by the end of the century, and the next time any mention of Pedersen showed up was in a colonist ship’s manifest under the name “Ann Gordon,” an alias that was confirmed to belong to Pedersen. She would appear off-and-on in various other stories and sightings throughout the years leading up to her becoming involved in the Heroes For Hire program.
Psychological Analysis: Pedersen has seen a lot in her lifetime, and I think the wellspring of knowledge that she possesses could rival that of Sopheia. The difference here is that, while Sophei’s knowledge is made up of useless junk memories that have been randomly picked up, Pedersen’s is actual, functional experience.
That said, in my experience with immortal Human beings, getting them to cooperate is a difficult task. They tend to know that there isn’t really any lasting harm you can do to them that will make them comply, so the opposite method must be deployed: Entice them with privileges and offers of gifts.
That is the method we should use on Pedersen.
