Captain Hammer

Full Name: Maxwell Hameer

Alias/Other Names: N/A

Powers: Hammer summoning, flight, super strength, enhanced endurance.

Hero Class: Bravo-Offense

Physical Attributes: Hameer is a tall, muscular man of mixed-race origin. He has brown skin and short, dark brown hair that he always keeps slicked back, with a single, “signature” curl above his right eyebrow. His costume consists of a red and blue unitard made of a flexible but durable material, black knee-high boots and a black cape, as well as a black “hip cape” that sits on his right thigh. He wears a utility belt that contains a number of useful items such as first-aid equipment, handcuffs and a ball-gag.

Power Analysis: Hameer’s primary and most famous ability is his ability to pull a full-sized, two-handed warhammer out of a cross-dimentional storage area. He can re-summon and dismiss this hammer at-will, which causes it to completely disappear from its current extant location.

In addition to this ability, Hameer has a full set of “classic” hero powers: Unassisted flight, enhanced endurance that renders him mostly bulletproof, and super strength that enables him to lift over five tons of material.

Notable Weaknesses: Hameer’s primary physical weakness is a rare metal called “primordium” that occurs naturally on Earth. Upon contact with him, this metal weakens his secondary powers and renders him incapable of summoning or dismissing his warhammer. In the case that the hammer is already wielded by him, the raw weight of the weapon becomes too much without his strength.

A much greater weakness, however, is his ego. When not out in the public eye frequently enough, he has a tendency to look for what he calls “evildoers” and uses his powers to punish them. His sense of what is and isn’t “evil” is heavily skewed, and he will sometimes severely punish even minor offenders.

Origin: Hameer gained his powers from a freak factory accident, where a pile of experimental hammer prototypes fell on him. Rather than kill him, however, the hammers’ prototype anti-rust coating mixed with the oxygen in his blood, giving him his powers.

He proceed to become the masked superhero known as Captain Hammer and grew to become quite popular. It was his sponsorship in a federal workplace safety bill that caused him to leap from local celebrity status to big-time superhero. This quickly went to his head as he signed numerous sponsorship, marketing and branding deals. Suddenly he was not only famous but rich too, and with very few challenges left, we approached him with the promise of steady work to cure both his boredom as well as his need to be in the spotlight.

Psychological Analysis: This guy is really abrasive. “No, I don’t want your autograph, Hameer.” And then he gives me one anyway. He automatically assumes that anyone who interacts with him is his biggest fan, unless they are a “bad guy” in which case he beats them up.

If he wasn’t making us so much money, I would suggest dumping him from the program because I just passed him in the hall and he asked me if I wanted to “see his massive hammer.” As long as we keep feeding his insatiable ego, we probably don’t have anything to worry about at least.
